The Dolphin Head Nebula is one of my favorite deep sky objects. This nebula’s official designation is SH2-308. It is a bubble-shaped nebula located in the constellation Canis Major. It is approximately 5,000 light-years away from Earth. I captured this image during November and December 2024, and collected over 12 hours of exposure using special filters to bring out the colors of this unique object.
